‘How to make a quick zine’1) Using an A4 piece of paper fold it in half both ways2) Fold sides into the centre making creases3) Open up again and cut carefully along the middle centre line4) Refold in half again and push sides into the middle5) Push until it creates pages6) Fold so it creates an outside cover and then you should  have a mini zine. Ta-da.

made a step-by-step photo guide of this once but it was way weird and not as cool as this!!

Birth of a Bottle

At the “Ekran” Factory in Novosibirsk, Russia, bottles are glass-blown and forged from the fiery pits of Mordor, or at least it certainly looks the part. The factory originally made its wealth in 1954 as a maker of optoelectronic devices and cathode-ray tubes for television sets. But by 1994 the mass production of TV equipment ended in Mother Russia and the factory shifted to glass bottle production. A perfect place to get a hot drink or end the life of a Terminator!

WOOD SCULPTURES BY ARON DEMETZ

For years, Aron Demetz (facebook) has been focusing on the human figure, on contemporary characters which appear to be frozen in poses of the antique portraiture or paralysed in bizarre postures. Aron uses traditional woodcarving techniques to convey his preoccupation with humanity’s relationship to nature. In his work he eschews the classical opposition of human and nature, and allows the two to become an inseparable whole, evoking the primordial experience.
